Gabriel Hennebury resides in his hometown Ann Arbor, MI, where he is working on his Master’s degree with Professor Amir Eldan at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. He received his Bachelor of Music degree at the Eastman School of Music under Professors Guy Johnston and Joseph Johnson. 

In addition to his solo studies, Gabriel particularly enjoys chamber music. He previously performed and competed as a member of the Tedeschi Trio, which was awarded a platinum medal at the 2022 Quebec Music Competition. Before attending college, he was a cellist, gambist, and harpsichordist in The Brandenburg Project, an early music ensemble with a focus on performing Baroque music in a period correct style. As an orchestral musician, he has been principal cellist of the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra and University Symphony Orchestra at the UofM, and has performed in the Detroit Opera Orchestra and the Ann Arbor Symphony.

Gabriel is from Ann Arbor, Michigan, and fills his free time with activities including hiking, hydration, swimming, board games, computer science, and Ultimate Frisbee. His favourite food is oranges.
